removed the windshield today...
... and damned if that bit about applying 24 volts to the wire embedded in the windshield adhesive didn't do the trick :worship:
At some point in the past a previous owner had removed the windshield trim to do some rust repair and glued it back on again, so there was a hiuge amount of adhesive that I had to scrape out with a HarborFreight cheapie windshield removal too.... But eventually I found the embedded wire... it was broken halfway around so I had to jump the two broken ends together... two 12V batteries in series to produce 24V, and after 20 minutes the windshield just fell out.
