Official Member Car Picture Thread

bruinbro, that rollback looks like it could haul four Xs. I gather that's just some goofiness of the photo angle. Since the "other" carl aka Karl made a point about the terrible rims, I will say the ductail looks terrible on your car and I too will swing by on trash day to...er...help dispose of it.

Yes, the rims are tacky. I was going to put them in one of the nearby restaurant’s dumpster.

The flatbed is what Hagerty sent. I asked the driver to drive slowly to prevent a chance of rollover. He looked at me kinda funny…

Sorry, I need the ducktail to prevent lifting when I enter my driveway.

Another view of the lorry. You could fit 2 groups of 4 Xs on it.

Also, it’s now all nice and comfy with it’s Italian siblings at the shop.

not mine, but amused to see an X1/9 make this "NÜRBURGRING XXL CRASH & FAIL Compilation" by overcooking it through Adenauer Forst:

2 of them so maybe some kind of recent X1/9 meet at the Ring??

I never messed up AF that bad, but did spin a rental 520i in Eiskurve on my 2nd or 3rd lap ever in 1998, thankfully avoiding the armco out of sheer luck.
Managed to keep the rubber on the road or at least intentionally over the curbs over the next ~300 laps.

Thanks to this forum (!), MWB and eurosport-uk, my X1/9 is ready to go and 100%. It is a Californian early injection car (1980) and completely stock. 128ASO 00133117 original plate number 1ACU698. First owner was Michael Blatt living in Fillmore sold by salesman Vince Strand 'Jerry Roth Service Dept.' 15019 S Western Ave Gardena (CA). If i will ever sell it i l try to ship it back because it is legal to drive in California. In 2004 it went to Germany (via Ernie's Automotive Service 460 W Ventura St, Fillmore, CA 93015) and is since 2021 with me in The Netherlands. Also special thanks to Kevin (79X19) who took great effort sending me a seat belt buckle which was not available in Europe.

Looks like it just came out of the showroom!

Wow, what a time capsule! It even sports the typical 80's door ding guards and tacked-on exterior door sill guards. Very period for sure...

Thank you, In the super slow process of building my Fiat 850 coupe, retro 124/1300 Abarth with my PBS 124 twin cam motor that was in my fiat 850 spider race car for the street. Wanted to have some engine work done that I don't want to mess up. Still gathering parts.
