Cromodora CD31s for sale NOW SOLD

rx1900

1981 X1/9
Up for sale a set of 4 Cromodora CD31 wheels. EDIT - NOW SOLD

Genuine Cromodora - made in Italy - 3 have a 1980 date code, 1 has a 1979 date code. but are all identical.

13 x 5.5". 4 on 98 Fiat bolt pattern. Offset 18mm. Must be magnesium as they weigh under 10 lbs each.

All are straight and crack-free. All run straight and true on my Hoffmann balancer.

All are in need of a cleaning and restoration !!!

No corrosion on faces or back or bead areas...BUT...all have some typical corrosion in the centre bore in the back. They do, however, bolt on okay to a hub.

Some curb rash on all wheels.

No centre caps...

It would appear someone had started to re-finish them long ago. The faces have grey primer on them. Dont know how it was done....but appears to have adhered well.

They are NOT PERFECT !! They need to be restored and refinished !!

Hence......$600 US

Would prefer pick-up in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. But could pack and ship almost anywhere. Likely $80 or so to most places in USA.

More pics or details on request...but serious inquiries only please....20240501_155956.jpg20240501_155621.jpg20240501_155650.jpg20240501_155701.jpg20240501_155719.jpg20240501_155814.jpg20240501_155830.jpg20240501_160011.jpg20240501_160021.jpg20240501_160025.jpg20240501_160108.jpg20240501_160147.jpg

Why do these things always show up when I'm out of $$ for car parts. :(

Any interest in trading for a set of Alfetta Ronal A1s in good shape? 14X6, 4 on 98. I don't think they would fit an X without a spacer, but haven't tried.

Ha.....thanks but no thanks.......Ronal A1s are cool......but depending on the offset...Alfetta wheels seem to have offsets all over the place...yeah they may need a spacer....

Besides...I already have a set of 14s.....some Maserati Biturbo wheels. I've rolled the fender lips and got them to fit.....

And besides....the whole point of my ad was to try to divest myself of some wheels !! I think I have 6 or so sets of X1/9 wheels....and a single X that still doesn't run.

I think George Carlin did a skit about that.....how we spend the first 2/3 of our lives collecting junk....and the remaining 1/3 trying to get rid of said junk .....

If...these CD31s dont fall in your budget.....but you like that style...I also have a set of nice Australian wheels that are similar...but different. In some ways I like them better. They will be on the block soon....

Bi-turbo wheels are really cool on the X too. And I understand the "barn full of wheels" issue. I've been weeding down my Alfa wheels over time, but still have several stacks, and good wheels on the cars already. 😂 Must be an Italian thing.

If I was planning to keep an x long term I would have bought these already. Best wheel hands down. For some reason they don't look as good on a 124 spider, so I'm glad I can resist the temptation.

Sold pending payment...Edit payment now received and wheels have been shipped. Thank you.

I was tempted to grab them on principle alone. haha. I had to resist considering I have a couple sets of CD-91s, a set of CD-31s, a set of CD-50s, a set of CD-27 Corsas, and a set of 15x7 Ronal A1s. haha. Oh and a set of CD-30 Abarths, I almost forgot.

Well, this was a good deal for someone. I got tired of waiting and paid considerably more for a set and still had to have them professionally refinished. Worth it though, however you get them.
