Going to California ...

Advice? Stay home! Just joking...

You don't mention which days you will be where though.

If you are in the LA area over the weekend of the 10th, 11th and 12th... I am SURE there will be a few of us that would love to meet you and show you around a bit.

The Hemmings Listing you posted mentions events that are mostly SOUTH of LA about 200 miles in the San Diego and Orange County area.

There are a few of us that have plans for Sunday the 12th to go to the Automotive Driving Museum in El Segundo (Near LAX Airport) for their Corvette event.

Here is the Link:

As for some other sites that I would not mind showing you are:

The Neathercutt Collection, which is THE PLACE to see given all the choices available in the area. Recommended by ALL!

http://www.nethercuttcollection.org/

Autobooks - Aerobooks... a bookstore like no other. Jay Leno is known to frequent the place for coffee on Saturdays... they have just about EVERY book imaginable on aircraft and autos!

The Museum, Book Store and the Neathercutt Collection are all FREE... There are several other museums in the area like the NHRA in Pomona and the Peterson in LA. What I suggested though would be the BEST (I feel) and am sure you would enjoy.

More... Here is THE calendar of events for the Southern California area:

Pick one, any one...

As for the Bay Area near San Francisco... I found this one site and there are several more:

http://www.norcalcarculture.com/

It lists Museums as well and I can attest personally that the Blackhawk Collection in Danville is OUTSTANDING. I believe there is a charge though, but worth it.

ALSO!!! Contact the FIATAMERICA folks and ask for Dan Yee. Tell them Tony sent ya... These are great folks!

As for Las Vegas???

Here is one site but I can't find much. One CRUISE for the 10th of April, which is a Thursday if this is indeed a 2014 calendar.

Rick's Restorations... I wouldn't miss this place when in Vegas:

OK... I'll let you search for more.

Toon,

Look for the email I copied you on after you gave Tony your gmail address.

It would be very helpful to know where you are staying in Los Angeles as that might dictate what local folks can do to welcome you to the area. You can respond to the email as this will get you a quicker response.

Mike

Thank you so much for the warm welcome.
This should be a very nice trip for me.

The hotel will be confirmed tomorrow.
