I almost bought an Olds or something back in the day with a Quad Four and it was a great running engine. The "quad" in the name represented the four valves per cylinder. DOHC! Quite a leap for GM!!! But alas, they never became popular... probably just having some teething problems, but that kinda thing can kill a good product. They needed to work those issues out before introducing it to the public.
