1982 transmission +

A guy in my home town needs a working transmission for his 1982 X (5 speed) including shipping to Israel.
Matt at Midwest has one in an unknown condition and a very expensive shipping cost.
Anyone ?
Also, could you direct me to a comprehensive discussion of implanting a Honda K20 into an X.
