Finally, An Ugly Cromodora Wheel

Waitin' On Parts...
I thought that there could be no such thing as an ugly classic Cromodora wheel design.

That is, until eBay emailed me these search results today:

Those are Autobianci A112 Abarth wheels... I think the 4.5" rim width is a bit small for an X1/9 but they might be home on an 850...

The CD57

They do look rather plain in full monotone (single color), but can come alive a bit when a little imagination is used in the (re)finishing process. :)

With these wheels being from/for the A112, they have the typical FWD inboard offset which is not very fitting (physically or aesthetically) for the X1/9 or the 850, but perhaps better suited for the 128 or Strada.

Don't agree at all...

...but I don't think they would enhance an X1/9. They are too narrow.

Had a set of these on my son's first car (Fiat 127 pictured) and really liked them on that....

Looked better on the A112 though.

To me they look like a dowscaled version of the Stratos "coffin" campy's.

While they don't have the "drama" of the deep dish I quite like them!

CD63 - now THERE'S an ugly wheel... :help:

campys

beauty is in the eye of the beholder. they kinda look like ugly ducklings not installed, but add a flair on a car. really want a set of those yellow campys tho.....
