Is that it relates to my phone (not quite a smartphone, actually a dumbphone) which I use in my X, hence the relation.
Well, what is the best way to store a phone battery (Ni Fe or something). Well, should I store it charged or empty - this is the question...

WHY?

My brother useta store all his camera batteries in the fridge in the '70s...

But you are talking about rechargeables I would assume and if they are NOT to be used for a long period, they should NOT be left on a trickle charger or charger.

1. The charger heats up... and rarely burns, but battery life APPEARS to be shortened.
2. I think I have proved this out on several occasions and I was WARNED by an installer not to leave a "Stair Lift" chair plugged into its charging location if I were to go on vacation. It uses two rechargeable 12 volt "scooter" batteries.
3. Best to USE them or LOOSE them and if you can't, then store them in a cool. dry place OUTSIDE the device.

HTH... you dirty old man!

your advise Tony makes sense

even if it is wrong... ha ha ha...
not that I know it s wrong.
And I am not dirty any more (just old man), I just cleaned up and had a shower ...
