Global Register

sounds like a nice idea -

If you could break it down to include original body colour (if known) and interior, that would be kind of neat to know. Maybe even checklists for factory options like AC, etc.

Thanks! I'll add mine once it's live.

I'm in the process of setting up a global register of all X1/9's. www.x19global.com. Would be good to know how many and what is left in the world.

Because you've already snagged x19global.com (good catch, BTW!) and started work you may not be interested in this suggestion, but would it make sense to host the registry as part of the xweb wiki?

WiKi

Yes was happy about the domain. The way i'm setting this up is to run totally automatic and live. So as new data is presented the graphs and statistics change. I need to have good back end control to do this without the limitation of how the WiKi is setup.

I will also add more features as time goes by.

Ah - yes, that is way better (and also way more work - thank you).

An XWeb member named Dierk has a VIN listing/registry on his website, see if that helps you push your project forward.

There was another registry at http://xregistry.hopto.org/ that doesn't seem to be working any more. Fortunately the wayback machine has captured at least some of it: https://web.archive.org/web/20140315000000*/http://xregistry.hopto.org/

I'm amusing myself now scraping the wayback pages to get a list of VINs

Global register now open. www.x19global.com

How do I register multiple cars? I own four X1/.9s

More then one x1/9

HI,

All you need to do is log back in with you username and you will be given the option to start a new one.

Great site. One observation, if we changed the colour of the car it almost feels like we're cheating by entering the new colour. Why is original colour important? Thanks,

Entered my Xs

Nice job mark. I entered my two cars. Could you add a status of "undergoing restoration" or something similar? My 78 would be drivable if I ever finished the engine swap. So it isn't drivable, but it is registers as historic, yet isn't a parts car.

No rush. I realize this is a labor of love and can take time. Like an engine swap.

Mark,
Also, my X is not factory color. Could you add something that will capture what color our X's are now?

Colour

Hi,

It's hard to make graphs and stats with variable information like colours.

Reason i'm sticking with factory colours is to learn more about what remains. There are a lot of stats out there in books that indicate how many x1/9 were made but no information on colours.

Possible other data...

Howdy from Colorado USA... I commend you on your efforts to preserve the legacy of the X1/9

I just registered my car on your site...

I have not seen another X "in the wild" for many decades here in Colorado.... Is it possible that you could add "states" In the US. (As there also in Australia) some states are as big as many entire countries...

It would be interesting to see a US state map or chart (and other country's) geographic map showing where we all are.

Posibly all the way to the city.... But alas, I have no idea if that would make the web and database coding impossible.

If you do, I would be more than happy to put my pin in at Denver

G'day Mate !!
