They also have matte and gloss clear coats... I just don't know how many cans it would take to do our cars.

Tech info states that it should be touched up every six months... I bet Jeff Van Dyke jumps on this!

Would the clear coat serve as a chip guard? My Mustang has the clear plastic overlay and it has worked great for 5 years. I've been considering something similar for the X.

Saw this

at the local Auto Zone about five months ago.

Didn't care too much. Although painting the hood indent would be cool. My car is white, maybe a nice shiny red?
