There are a number of reasons a motor might make this sound. Can you give us some more information, such as the frequency of the knock. Does it increase in speed when you rev the motor, stay the same?
Does it still exist when you push the clutch in?
Let us know. However, usually a knock means a rod bearing is in trouble.

How much boost are you running? Is it stock? Do you check the oil regularly / how many miles on the motor, etc.,
What lead up to the knock condition (when did you notice it / had you driven it harder than usual / etc.,)
You can use a stethyscope or a very long screwdriver held to you ear to listen around the motor for the location (head, block, etc) to better isolate the source.
