On the second attempt to auction the brand of the famous Turin Carrozzeria was awarded. Still unknown the buyer of which we only know that it is not Italian.
Another of the best known names of Made in Italy leaves Italy: the unmistakable "b" stylized appearing on the sides of some of the finest cars in the world will most likely leave Italy. It is in fact successfully completed the second auction online for the sale of the Bertone brand, one of the lots that were part of the judicial sale following the collapse of the Bertone 100 , the company that was in charge of the cars of the Bertone Museum and the brand.

As is known (read here) the batch comprising 79 cars of Caprie Museum had been bought in bulk last late September by ASI, the Italian Historical Automotoclub , to the tune of just under 2.6 million euro (base 1.587.3200 of euro) auction while none of the offers for the purchase of the brand had reached the starting price of 3,000,000 Euros to request from bankruptcy trustee.

Last Monday, at the second attempt and with the starting price down to € 2,600,000 , the Bertone brand has instead found a buyer. That won the famous "b" without spending one euro more of the required 2,600,000, that become 3,489,200 EUR with the rights auction and VAT.

Him do not know anything yet , waiting for the successful conclusion banking practices by the Institute Sales Judicial Court of Milan (SIVAG) who oversaw the electronic auction (it will take about 30 days). And maybe you will not know anything definitive until they decide to come out.

However some indiscretion starts to leak. According to rumors gathered by Ruoteclassiche , the famous logo was purchased by a large foreign company. But you do not know either what belongs to this sector, although it is logical to think that this is a car company, nor both of which nation. The fact remains that if that were the case, Pininfarina and Italdesign after the last of the great names of the national automotive history will have a foreign passport.
