Sound bar
You mean like this?
Mine is an RCA 37" sound bar (RTS7010B). It's a bit bigger than yours (3" by 3-and-a-bit?) and I sat it on end. Now the buttons are easily seeable, even though there is a remote control, and the Bluetooth feature is handy with my iPhone. I love the sound of my X, but if I'm just cruising along the freeway, some tunes are welcome and I didn't have to cut up the dash, the doors or the rear parcel shelf. Like you I wired it into the rear demister circuit.
