Distributor with selectable advance curves

Not a direct fit for the X

The web page says it is a Spider distributor, so it won't work in an X. If you compare the picture to the MWB page for the X distributor, you can see how much longer the shaft is on the X unit.

Now... Perhaps it can be made to work?? IIRC back in the day folks were having Spider distributors modified to work in the X... or maybe I am remembering that backwards? I will do a search and see if I can find anything in the archives.
 
Found one thread

I found one applicable thread from 2007 in a quick search. It discusses the difference between the distributors and how to convert the Spider to and X.

I am sure you will get more input as people see this thread.
