Local Car Show

Dan Sarandrea (Phila)

Waitin' On Parts...
Even though there were three or four passing light showers and cloudy skies, had a good time at the 2016 13th annual American Heritage Credit Union/Oldies WOGL-FM Car Show in Northeast Philadelphia. They raised over $10,000 for the Kids 'n' Hope Charity that benefits Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Sometimes local car shows can be disappointing with their typical emphasis on American Muscle. But, this show had an Import category and I was lucky enough to "bring home the hardware."

It also helps that there were only five other imported cars at the show! :)

Wiw, your car looks great Dan! Sorry I couldn't make it. I put the car away yesterday and started tearing into it.

You already know I'm a big fan of the 2-tones..
Did you paint the rockers or is that Plasti Dip?

And I know that minor duckbill warp makes you wake up with cold sweats at night..

The PO painted the rockers with a gloss rattlecan black, his rationale was that he could always spray another coat on himself when it got chipped up.

And yeah, that duckbill is a real PITA! I must have heated and flattened it 3, 4, 5 times. Doug (RX1900) hooked me up with some aluminum filler strips last year, I just dug them out this week and sent them off for powder coating. Once they're on, duckbill schmuckville no more stinkin' duckbill!
