USSTRATCOM Car and Motorcycle Show

Tavalin

Florida Mike (again)
Well,
Another car show but this time my X was judged.
Great time and a lot of people. The cars were really great to see and the X was the only Italian make represented.
Enjoy the pictures...

Update; I found out today that my X1/9 actually got 6 votes!!!
Yeah... Okay, the real story, the Fiat 124 was a no show and it got 4 votes so the judges figured that folks did not know mine was a Bertone and not a Fiat and voted for the wrong car... Funny.
Oh well, there is always next time.

Great job!

Looks great Mike! Is that the original color? Can't really tell if it is a metallic paint or brighter red in shadow. I don't remember any Bertones other than silvers/anthracite that were metallic... no I guess blues as well. Just don't remember red but I saw very few from say 1985. Great looking car!

Good stuff.
An old MG like that is on my bucket list. I'm planning on re doing one and touring Michigan in it. Epitome of "motoring".

Keep in in the loop!

Jeff,
When you get your MG ready for touring Michigan I'll drive my X1/9 along with you... I can carry your spares for you! Actually there are enough X owners up there to make it an event! There are so many beautiful places to see throughout the state it would be a great drive!
Regards

Rocco,
The original color was white then it seems to have been in an accident them painted fire engine red then the PO painted it metallic red.
Really beautiful in the sun.

Jeff,
A little further and we can make it a Nebraska event. Just saying... :)
