True Classic
Today Kristy and I drove the X down to Automezzi. There were NO Xs on display :cry:
We took a few photos of vehicles we would have in our dream garage, although I somehow missed taking photos of the Lancia Fulvia and the Ferrari 330.
Although we didn't display the X this year we got lots of compliments in the car park and driving in and out!
Something rather extraordinary happened. We had just parked the X and got out. A few seconds before us a gent had pulled up in a 124 spider. He got out, walked over to us and asked, "Do you have one of these?"
I said "No, I don't."
He said "If you would like it it's yours."
:grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:
Included inside is a mint condition 1977 edition of the Bayless Racing catalogue, which includes a very 70s ad for steering wheels...
His name was Jim Antol and he used to have an X and a 124 (the 124 he pulled up in wasn't his). He now plays with Audis and a Porsche Boxster. Hell of a nice guy and very generous!!!
What a cool day.
Cheers,
Rob
