What did you do for an enclosure for your sub? Is it mounted to the spare tire cover and if so, how did you stiffen it?
 
I used the old spare tire cover as a template and cut out a new cover out of MDF. I cut a hole in the middle to align the sub center hole with the spare tire threaded rod mount. Covered it with padded vinyl. The sub actually holds the new cover in place pretty well, although I may use velcro or some other mechanism hold it more securely in the future.

Finally wrapped things up and got the old girl inspected and registered. Took a few spins this weekend. One with my daughter who was visiting for the week. Love driving the X...
